Protons, which are one of the two main types of particles in atomic nuclei, are positive. The other particles, the neutrons, have no charge.
Orbiting around the nucleus are electrons in the same number as the protons . The electrons carry an equal but opposite negative charge.
In order for an atom to acquire what is known as the noble state, it would require a complete outer electron field.
There are a few elements, which are naturally noble, e.g. Neon gas. In order for atoms to reach this desired noble
state, they would either
have to bond with other atoms to form a molecule, which
will have a collective noble state e.g. water (HO).
Alternatively, they could gain or lose some electrons, thus becoming ions of that element. The end result is a substance, which has completely different properties to the elements in their natural state.
There is only one electron in the outer electron field of the natural silver atom. As a result, it is susceptible to joining with other atoms and molecules, forming silver compounds. This atom will bond together with other silver atoms and we can see the collective result of trillions of natural silver atoms bonded together in jewellery. The atom itself has not changed, but has simply bonded to other silver atoms.

Positively Charged Electro Colloidal Silver
Atom (Ag+1)
The electro colloidal silver atom (Ag+1), is an ion of the natural silver
atom (refer Fig. 2). Through a sophisticated electrical process, the outer electron has been removed. As a result, the outer electron field is now complete - and the atom is now in its noble state. By losing one electron, the atom now has only 46 negatively charged electrons in total, and the centre of the atom still has a positive charge of 47. As a result, the overall charge of the entire atom is now positive (Ag+1). When produced and suspended in water, it is known as the "colloidal state". Thus, it will not join or bond with any other element (unless forced to do so).
It is for this reason, that the positively charged silver atom will remain stable and purely function as a catalyst. When one understands direct current and
semi-conduction (see below) - and how it works in the body's physical universe, we begin to grasp the awesome power of positively charged silver!
This process takes place every second in nature - manifesting as colloidal minerals in fruit and vegetables.
Note: The natural silver atom will readily bond with protein and has minimal bio-availability and efficacy. On the other hand, positively charged silver has outstanding bio-availability and a miraculous healing power. This was conclusively demonstrated by Prof. Robert Becker over decades of scientific research.
In order to understand how the positively charged silver ion works in the physical universe, we need to have a basic understanding of electricity and how it flows.
There are three ways in which electricity flows:
1. Via electrons in metals
Metallic conduction:
A cloud of electrons moving along the surface of metal, usually a wire.
2. Via movement of ions through water or air (or in cellular fluids and tissues)
Salt dissolves in water into sodium (Na+) and Chloride
(Cl-). This creates an electrical charge and becomes a medium for electricity to flow. Remember the age-old remedy of putting salt onto a wound? Why did it prevent bacteria-based infections? There's a simple answer. The flow of current creates an environment where bacteria cannot function and the wound heals.
Half way between conductors and insulators,
semi-conductors readily conduct micro current
over long distances. Today we have products like
computers, satellites and a vast range of
electronic equipment - none of which would be
possible without semi-conduction. It is now
beyond dispute that the body runs on microscopic
electrical current via semi-conduction.
Semi-conduction occurs only in materials having an orderly molecular structure such as crystals. The atoms in a crystal are arranged in neat geometrical lattices, rather than the frozen jumble of ordinary solids. Structured water has the same orderly molecular structure and supports
semi-conduction.
Dr. Albert Szent-Gyφrgyi (twice winner of the Nobel Prize for his work on oxidation and Vitamin C) stressed that the molecular structure of many parts of all living cells was regular enough to support
semi-conduction. This idea was almost completely ignored at the time - and still is today! He expanded this concept in his 1960 Introduction to a
Sub-molecular Biology.
Speaking of the mechanistic approach of biochemistry, he pointed out that
when researchers broke things down into their constituent parts, somewhere
along the line life slipped through their fingers and they found themselves
working with dead matter. He said "It looks as if some basic fact about life
was still missing, without which any real understanding is impossible".
He proposed that electricity was this missing basic fact.
Inspired by Szent-Gyφrgyi's work, Dr. Robert Becker and his research team did intensive research regarding the flow of electricity in the body.
Becker did thousands of experiments where he tested and measured currents on nerves, organs, cells, tissues and fluids - and the flow of current in the regeneration of tissue.
He also observed how currents were dramatically altered in diseased tissue i.e. cancer. In relation to the body's flow of electricity, cancer cells show extremely high negative current.
He also showed that at any point of injury, there is a change in the flow of electrical current. As the wound goes through different stage of healing, the electrical charge changes. He showed that without this flow of electricity, it is impossible for the body to heal itself and regenerate new cells and new life.
Robert Becker proved conclusively that the human body's physical universe runs on electricity, which is conducted via
semi-conduction.
Within the body's electrical system, we have an electrical network connecting every part of our body, from the dermal areas of the skin right down to the deep tissues.
In the body's inner universe, there are billions of tiny
intra-cellular currents communicating countless trillions of instructions and signals,
all running on microscopic electric current!
Every second of every day,
your body conducts and generates billions of tiny electrical impulses. Without these impulses, not a single muscle would be able to function your heart wouldn't beat,
your brain wouldn't work
So what has the silver ion got to do with all this?
The positively charged silver ion is unique in having the ability to enhance and reinstate, where necessary, the flow of microscopic electricity in the body.
This can be easily demonstrated by applying electro colloidal silver to open wounds, cuts, burns etc. Moreover, it does this with a speed and completeness of healing that is remarkable - without any side-effects whatsoever!
What blocks the flow of electricity in the body?
Semi-conduction is very vulnerable to impedance.
Semi-conduction as is found in the structured water and fluids in the body can be impeded by a host of different factors. Any toxic substance can interrupt the flow. Acid forming foods (refined carbohydrates like refined white sugar, flour, maize etc.); all manner of toxic substances and gases; bacteria and other pathogens; the thousands of chemicals in processed foods; electromagnetic pollution and many other factors in our modern day lifestyle all compromise the flow of electricity.
When this build up of toxins continues, the flow of electricity stops, the lighthouses go out - and disease and ageing manifest. Positively charged silver ions can be likened to microscopic power stations. When they are introduced into the body, the electricity comes back on, the correct electromagnetic field is reinstated and the body heals itself.
How do electrically charged silver ions inhibit the activity of pathogens?
Contrary to popular belief, bacteria, virus, fungus, yeast and other pathogens are not little monsters that are out there waiting to invade or "attack" your physical universe and create disease. These microbes all require a specific environment in which they can function (just like a fish in water). When the environment changes, they can no longer proliferate and automatically become
neutralised.
In the presence of positively charged silver ions, the environment changes as a result of the flow of electricity. The electrical potential of cells and tissues is restored and the electromagnetic environment is no longer conducive to the activity of these pathogens.
All you need is 1 nano amp (i.e. one billionth! of an ampere) of current to alter the environment and restore a cell's electrical potential. It might sound ridiculous, but it's true!
